Ronnie's Team

Wayne Epperson

Coordinator

Wayne was the oldest of five children but was raised by his grandparents until the age of 13. At 14, Wayne began working full-time to support himself. Driven to escape poverty, he was focused on work and career with little thought about church or God. The Lord used a special outreach tool in 1983 to speak to Wayne; it was a church softball league. This was his first meaningful experience with church. It was there that God began to deal with his heart, and Wayne accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of twenty-one.

Wayne was ordained as a deacon six years later and served in various offices in the church. Ordained as a Pastor in 2008, Wayne now serves on staff at Highlands Fellowship Church in Abingdon, VA as the Development Pastor in charge of New Campus Development and Spiritual Maturity. While Wayne has had a passion for serving Christ since his conversion, he also has an enthusiasm for business. His business interests include construction, project management, restaurant franchisee, commercial development, and real estate investment.

Wayne and Ronnie have been best friends since 1989 and served in ministry together for many years. Wayne and Ronnie have had a wide variety of experiences together from local church revivals to area-wide crusades with 4,000 students in attendance on student night to student camps, and area-wide crusades overseas. Wayne is one of four original board members for Ronnie Hill Ministries. Along with being a board member, He now serves as a pre-crusade coordinator assisting churches in planning, set up, and strategizing for revivals and crusades. Wayne is willing to come to your church free of charge to help organize, encourage, and prepare your church before Ronnie comes to your event. If a church chooses to use Wayne, we only ask for the church to cover his expenses.
